The Fashion Loop Tutors

Jay Carrera is the founder of The Fashion Loop and principal tutor for the courses and workshops. She is a graduate of Central Saint Martins and London College of Fashion and has worked in the design studios of well-known names such as Vivienne Westwood, Alexander Mcqueen, and Marks & Spencers. 

 

Learning is ongoing with regards to fashion and having spent 25 years in the industry, interacting with students continues to provide Jay with new ideas and inspiration. 

 

Nicola Furey is the tutor for the Crochet & Knit Courses

 

Nicola has been passionately stitching since childhood and has a love for needlecrafts! Nicola has a degree in Fashion and Textiles specialising in knitwear design and construction and since then worked as a knitwear designer for companies in London and New York.

Nicola went onto working within the Fashion Buying industry before sharing her passion through teaching. Nicola loves to give traditional skills a modern twist and has worked with companies such as Wool and the Gang and has had patterns featured in national magazines.

Abigail Chand is the print tutor for the Teens Fashion Design Course.

 

Abigail is a British Indian artist, designer, illustrator and uses her skills in illustration and calligraphy to produce original drawings that are detailed and thought-provoking. Abigail's work is influenced by eastern and middle-eastern cultures and enjoys experimenting with east-west fusions
